Introducing Maysama Green Rooibos Serum Light

Introducing Maysama Green Rooibos Serum Light

As a leading beauty brand in the LED Light Therapy space, Maysama champions green rooibos as an active ingredient in skincare, pairing it with red light therapy to amplify and accelerate pro-aging results. Since its launch in 2020, Maysama’s Green Rooibos Serum has been the cornerstone of our brand. It remains our best-selling skincare formulation and has achieved cult status in various Facebook groups.

Our award-winning green rooibos serum is proven to enhance the effects of LED therapy for skin rejuvenation. It is also widely popular as an antioxidant serum in skincare routines, offering protection against environmental aggressors such as UV light and pollution.

Today, I’m excited to introduce a new variation of our green rooibos serum!

Why a New Formula?

Customer feedback is at the heart of Maysama’s product development, and we are incredibly grateful for all your comments and experiences, which help shape our future offerings.

You might wonder, “How can you improve on your best-selling product?” The answer lies in recognizing that one size does not fit all.

Our original serum is formulated in a base of pure Aloe vera gel, which serves as an excellent humectant, hydrating and plumping your skin while offering wound-healing properties. However, approximately 1% of consumers cannot tolerate Aloe vera due to allergies or sensitivities.

Many of you are skincare aficionados who love to layer multiple serums for additional benefits. You’ve told us that when formulations are not compatible, layering can lead to pilling—when a product doesn’t absorb properly and instead forms tiny particles on the skin’s surface that can transfer onto your fingertips.

Water-based serums tend to layer better with other water-based serums, while gel-based serums, like the Maysama Green Rooibos Pressed Serum, may not always be as compatible.

Listening to our community, many of you who love Maysama’s Green Rooibos Serum expressed a desire for a water-based, Aloe-free formula. This would better meet your skin’s needs and allow for easier layering with other serums.

We listened and created it just for you! Maysama Green Rooibos Serum Light is our new product launch. So, what are some of the standout differences in our new Serum Light?

  • Formulated with the same great Aspalathin-enriched Green Rooibos to accelerate and amplify the effects of LED therapy, but now in a water-based and Aloe-free formulation!
  • Fortified with a higher percentage (4%) of niacinamide for enhanced protection. Niacinamide is known for strengthening the skin barrier, improving skin texture, and serving as an antioxidant.
  • Enhanced with Green Tea (Camellia sinensis), recognized for its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and astringent properties, and its potential to boost LED therapy effects—making it a fantastic addition to our new formulation.
  • Additionally, sodium PCA and panthenol act as humectants and skin-conditioning agents, hydrating and moisturizing your skin.
  • Lighter in texture and color, it absorbs easily into your skin, allowing you to layer all your favorite serums in your skincare routine.
