FAQs

Q: What is the irradiance?

A: IMPT operates at 41±5mw/cm2. Continuous Wave operates at 26±5mw/cm2. Both deliver a final dose of 9 Joules/cm2 over 6 minute treatment.

Q: Why are the near infrared lights not working? I can’t see them

A: Near infrared is outside of the visible spectrum and not visible to the naked eye. However, there is a very slight glow that comes from the LEDs, particularly in dark conditions. Please rest assured that they are working!

Q: What is the ideal treatment time and frequency of use?

A: The recommended treatment time is 6 minutes with pulsed light (or 9 minutes continuous wave), 3-5 times per week.

Q: When can I expect results?

A: Results vary depending on your treatment goals, skin condition, chronology and consistency of use. Results may be seen as early as four week, and are generally more evident after three months. We encourage you to record your progress by taking before and after images.

Q: Does LED Light Therapy interfere with medications?

A: Red and near infrared light has been proven in clinical studies and peer reviewed clinical trials to be safe and effective. However, if you use photosensitising medication, we recommend consulting with your health care provider before using this device.

Q: Can I overdo my LED light therapy?

A: Whilst LED light therapy is safe, we recommend that you stick within the recommended treatment times. LED elicits a biological response for health benefits. The bi-phasic dose response means that prolonged exposure, in a single session, can start to inhibit the beneficial impact. Whilst pulsed LED light extends the bi-phasic dose response, it is also more effective so treatment times can be reduced.

    Helping My Dry Eye Syndrome

    Best mask ever!

    I’d like to say I rarely write reviews; however, I felt compelled to write one for the Aura Mask. I’m nearly 60yrs old with rosacea and sensitive skin. I’ve tried many, many LED products to decrease redness etc. This is THE ONE!! This mask fits the curves of my face- why make flat masks if a persons face is not flat? It’s comfortable and 6 minutes is so doable so I’ve been faithfully wearing it. The consistency is key I believe so if you don’t like it, you won’t wear it and then frustration because no results…. This is a no brainer if you can afford it. I got it on sale and feel it’s priced great compared to other led masks. Plus, this one takes all the guesswork out of using it. Super easy! I love everything about it. Thanks for making this mask Maysama- you have changed my skin in such a positive way!! I rarely wear makeup/coverup anymore- just sunscreen and mascara. Easy!

    Great mask!

    I've got the Aura Head2Heart mask after my previous LED flexible panel, which I used for 6 years, stopped working properly. I like how convenient and easy to use the cordless mask. I do get a small round depression mark on my forehead (the same like somebody mentioned it below). I decided to try and attach a wide soft strap on top of my mask to reduce the weight of it across the forehead and it worked! I don't get any marks on my forehead any more and the fit of the mask is much more comfortable now. I think it's possible to design an additional detachable strap on top of the existing mask to improve the fitting even more. It's a great mask and I hope to get even better result with the pulsing technology.
